Snow Days

Today I decided to bundle up Ash and play in the snow in our backyard. Ash loved it! This is quite the change from last year when she wanted nothing to do with it. In fact, I had a hard time getting her to come back inside. I was impressed when she did a snow angel because I didn't teach her how to do that. I think she must have picked it up from TV. We had a good time and might even attempt a snowman next time!

Styling Time

So, I was bored today and decided to straighten Ashlyn's hair. She is so good to just sit right in front of me and let me do whatever I want to her hair. I think this comes from doing her hair since she was tiny ( she was born with a headful of curls). Ash seems to like it when I straighten her hair because I can brush it so much easier. When I'm done she just sits there and plays with her hair and runs her fingers through it. Then she shakes her head all around and likes how it feels when it is on her back. As much as I think it's adorable straightend, I must admit I like the curls better. When I was pregnant I was hoping she would have curly hair. I got my wish, I just hope she doesn't hate it when she is older!

Zoo Lights

Last week, Jannda and I took took the kids and my nephew Kyler to see Zoo Lights. It was pretty fun, and not nearly as cold as I thought it would be. Ash stayed bundled up in her stroller and us big people stayed warm as long as we kept moving. I thought the Zoo did a great job with the lights. I will definately go again next year. We has a great time riding the carosel, but something about it being dark and with the lights, made me very dizzy. At the end we stopped for some hot chocolate and deep fried smores, they were not that great. Afterwards, we went to dinner and got some real food. Poor Ky had to sit between two 2 year olds. He was a great help the whole night.

Pinkalicious!

One of Ashie's favorite books is called "Pinkalicious". It's a super cute story about a little girl that makes pink cupcakes with her mom and she ends up eating so many that she turns pink. I promised Ash that we would make these cupcakes just like the ones in the book. So we did. It was pretty fun and they tasted really good, too. I'm not sure what part Ash liked better, helping mommy cook them, or eating them.

I'm Back

So I am such a slacker, it has taken me this long to write more. I finally have my own lap top so I can update in a more timely manner. YAY!
Ash and I have been doing well and are excited for christmas. I've been busy shopping and decorating. Christmas is a lot more exciting with a child. Before Ash I didn't really care if I had a tree or decorations. Now it seems like there is so much more fun things to do with her. We hope to visit Temple Square and Zoo lights in the upcoming days.
